ABOUT NTEL 2025

The National Technology Enhanced Learning (NTEL) Conference was first initiated by the Ministry of Education in 2015 and co-organised with our autonomous universities in Singapore to enable cross-institutional sharing and discussion of educational technology works in teaching and learning. In a unique opportunity, this year’s NTEL 2025, happening on 4 July 2025, will run back-to-back with the Applied Learning Conference (ALC) on 2–3 July 2025. ALC will explore how Competency-based Education (CBE) can bridge the gap between education and industry needs, fostering a skills-ready workforce. To learn more about ALC, please visit www.alc.sg.

Our 2025 conference theme, "Balancing Bytes and Bonds: Developing Humans in the Age of AI", reflects our aim to understand how technology can support learning while keeping the human element central.

We will explore various educational technology areas like hybrid classrooms, blended learning, learning analytics, and generative AI. Rather than just presenting polished research, we want to create a space where educators can share ongoing projects, discuss challenges, and learn from each other's experiences.

Our goal is to have open, practical conversations about how technology can enhance teaching and learning. We are interested in real insights—what works, what doesn't, and how we can improve. By bringing together different perspectives, we hope to find meaningful ways to integrate technology that actually help students and teachers.

NTEL 2025 is about finding a balanced approach to educational technology. We want to leverage AI and digital tools in ways that make learning more effective and engaging, while ensuring that human interaction, creativity, and personal connection remain at the heart of education.
